Account Activation Assistance

We’ve tried to make the Activation process as simple as possible but here are a few possible pitfalls!

The system doesn't recognise my email address...
The new website uses the same email addresses as the old forum. It should be the same address as you receive the Red Hots on.
If you’re copy and pasting your email address from elsewhere make sure you haven’t accidentally copied any unexpected characters or spaces.

If you’re still having no joy, complete the contact form at the bottom of this page and we’ll update the system with the correct email address.

No problem, just fill in the contact form at the bottom of this page and we’ll update your details with the correct email address.
Please note this is a manual process so it won’t be instant, but we’ll sort it for you as soon as we can.
It says the email has been sent but I haven't received anything.
Make sure you check your assorted Junk, Spam, Focused, Other, Updates, Promotions, etc, etc folders that email providers like to hide things in. Once you’ve found it be sure to mark it as ‘trusted’, ‘white listed’, ‘not junk’ or whatever your particular email service likes to use.

If you don’t manage to find it, again, complete the form below and we’ll send it to you manually from a different address.

I clicked the link in the email but it says "That key is no longer valid"
If you get a message like “That key is no longer valid. Please reset your password again. Code: invalid_key”, that means your password reset link expired.

This is most likely to happen if you’ve had several attempts to activate your account. Make sure you are clicking the link in the most recent email you have received. The links in the older emails automatically expire when a new email is issued.

I get my emails on a phone / tablet but I want to log in on a different device.
Not a problem – simply complete the process of setting your password wherever you receive your emails. Once your account is active you can simply log in with your username/password on any other device.
